Effective succession planning, balancing financial demands with personnel requirements whilst working towards achieving that competitive advantage are common challenges faced. Because trust and rapport are the essential foundation of any one to one coaching partnership, the selection of an executive coach often comes down to personal chemistry, therefore the first step is always to meet with one of our Business Coaches.
Executive Coaching is a process very specifically tailored to the individual and it is often a reactive process, dealing with specific issues as and when they arise. It can therefore be difficult to outline everything that will be covered. Some of the more common and core issues include:
The frequency, length and content of these sessions will be mutually agreed between you, your organisation (where applicable) and your coach, but typically take place over a 4-8 month period in 90 minute - 2 hour sessions. Where there is a requirement for a more focused, briefer programme we will be happy to accommodate this.
How sessions are conducted, (face to face, telephone, skype etc) will be determined by the client’s specific requirements, however we do recommend that at least the first session is completed face to face. This helps to build rapport and trust, which are essential for any successful coaching relationship.
Clients also have the additional option of incorporating a 360° questionnaire. This invaluable tool offers additional opportunities for self-awareness and reflection. Please see our section on Leadership 360° for further information.
